PeanutOak’s 2009 Holidays Contest

How to Participate:

In what’s becoming a tradition, PeanutOak created a Christmas & New Year contest with a stunning prize – one of our own exclusive bags. The bag is called “Going out with a Bang” and it’s definitely going out in the hand of the winner, who will only have to show his/her glamorous creativity.

Since tradition is not what it used to be, this year’s contest will take place in Facebook, with very simple rules.

- You’ll have to be a fan of PeanutOak in Facebook.

- In our profile, click in the tab “Discussions” and complete the phrase you’ll find there, in the most original, surprising and PeanutOak spirited way possible.

The deadline for submitting a phrase is 15 of December (included). Each person will only be allowed to submit one phrase, so if there are multiple entries we will only consider the last.

After that, PeanutOak will choose the three most creative phrases and, December 16th, we will post those phrases in our profile. By the end of Christmas Eve (around 23.59), the phrase with the most “likes” will be the winner.

If a tie should occur, PeanutOak has a decisive vote.

We will be taking phrases in Portuguese or English, but each participant will have to choose which language he prefers, because there can be only one phrase per person. The three final phrases chosen, can be of different languages or not (example: 2 in Portuguese and 1 in English, 3 in Portuguese and so on).

The winner will be announced on Christmas Day.

It's made with several beads: wooden, painted, plastic, pearl like, metallic, crochet covered beads... in several colours (mainly black); all put together in a cotton string.

Silky Smooth

Necklace made with glass, metal and crochet covered beads, on a metal chain and cotton string. It can give two turns around the neck (as shown in picture). Large size, it measures approx. 17 inches.

Pink-Pong

The chain metal is made by hand, working with coloured copper metal and black beads with a slightly copper touch in the ends.

It's a glamorous look, and it's a short necklace close to the neck, as you can see in the picture.

All the fabrics are hand stitched. The african fabric was washed by hand, and I recommend that if you ever want to wash it, to do so as well, because this fabrics have very bright colours and may stain other pieces. Always wash with vinegar and salt.
